Reaching Out in Tuscaloosa

Because we believe that God has placed each of us in this community to love and share the gospel, we believe that God is leading us to serve Tuscaloosa through various opportunities each month. Along with these monthly opportunities, FWC also partners with various ministries, non-profits, and initiatives in the community not just financially, but hands on, enabling us to reach out and serve Tuscaloosa.

There are also ministries here at FWC that allow us to serve Tuscaloosa. Those ministries are...

Grace Drop - A surprise blessing to those in time of need or crisis. See below for application and more information.

Citizenship Classes - For those needing help preparing for Citizenship Tests, etc.

January opportunity

Temporary Emergency Services
Saturday, January 20, 2018

Temporary Emergency Services is a non-profit that has been serving our community for over 70 years.  They assist individuals and families in crisis situations by providing a variety of support and resources.  From helping with food and clothing to assisting with bills, medical expenses, and transportation, TES covers an array of needs. To fund their efforts, they greatly depend on the sales in their Thrift Store. January is one of their busiest months and we are looking to support them by spending a few hours sorting, tagging, and shelving items in their store. Please help support this organization by signing up for one of two time slots on Saturday, January 20 from 9am - 12pm or 1pm - 4pm.  This is a great opportunity to learn about and serve with an organization that has been supporting Tuscaloosa for many years!
